Toronto born Chef Andrew Wu has cooked and trained in Toronto, Singapore, and Melbourne. Notable restaurants including The Harbord Room, Colborne Lane, The Tippling Club in Singapore, and Estelle in Melbourne.
soas (son of a shoemaker) is his first restaurant, its namesake inspired from Andrew's father and a tongue in cheek nod to the colloquial use of of the term, shoemaker, in restaurants around the world.

A cook or chef that does not put effort into their work. Often thought of as lazy, incompetent, lacking in skill or workmanship.
